Consists of a cellulose fiber base which has been impregnated with a protein and glycerine binder. Three outstanding properties: Exceptionally good sealing properties. Highly conformable to compensate for distortion in flanges. Chemically indert in the presence of petroleum lubricating oils, automotive gasoline, fuel oils, and many organic solvents. Contains an antimicrobal compound to resist fungus organisms. |
